About me
After having an interest in ham radio as a child, and having hit the wall with morse code records (that was before there was no-code anything), I always harbored an interest in the topic. But life got in the way ...
Until last June, when I took and passed the Technician and General exams to get my license. Fortunately, my background is computer science, and I have always done little electronics projects now and then -- so much of the material was familiar to me.
Having found those tests relatively easy, I took the Extra exam in September. I did not find it easy! But study of the ARRL manual and constant self testing on qrz.com allowed me to pass the exam...
My interests are in the realm of packet and brining modern computer approaches to a technology that seems a bit neglected. Take a look at my blog for thoughts on that (and other things).
